Data is an essential tool in the quest to improve college outcomes for foster youth.  Data related to the educational successes and challenges of foster youth not only helps advocates and service providers to tell their story more persuasively to funders and policy makers, but is also a powerful tool in helping programs to refine services in order maximize successful outcomes.  But the information that comes out of data systems is only as good as the information going in.

The John Burton Foundation, in partnership with Career Ladders Project and Educational Results Partnership will be hosting a free web seminar on Thursday, January 16, from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. to help campus-based foster youth support programs understand how to get to high quality data by working in collaboration with other campus departments.  The webinar will cover foster youth data collection strategies for college and university campuses, provide a preview of the new CalPASS Plus foster youth data dashboard and offer valuable tips and tools so that instead of working to collect data, collecting data is working for you.
