Career Ladders Project aims to make postsecondary education accessible to all students through innovative interventions and strategies. Given that community colleges serve 60% of California’s college students, much of what determines student success in postsecondary education across the state is how students transition in and out of community colleges. Because of this, CLP focuses on embedding early college exposure, improved assessment and placement practices, and supportive and empowering first year college experiences into the community college and K12 systems. In order to facilitate successful exit points from community college for students, CLP identifies Higher Ed and industry connections and advisory, and work-based learning and internships. CLP has produced and refined numerous resources and tools to help campuses with students entering and exiting the community colleges.
