— Integrated Supports

Career Ladders Project includes counselors and other student support services professionals (as well as instructional faculty and administrators) in in-depth conversations around policy, pathway development, academic and instructional innovations. CLP recognizes that counselors are key to improving intersegmental alignments (i.e. enhanced collaboration) across systems (i.e. K12 to CC) which support students with transitioning, navigating, and completing college. Building awareness and collecting input across a campus increases students’ successes in their career and postsecondary education. CLP began including student support services into most of the early projects and initiatives CLP worked on, since its’ founding in 2002. This led to CLP creating and leading the California Counseling Network (CACN), as well as strongly advocating for counselors to be included in all efforts which improve the community college system.
